Over 30 years of practicing dentistry in York New Salem dedicated to excellence and comprehensive care working with a team of committed professionals specializing in making beautiful, healthy smiles. Doc enjoys spending time with his wife, Sue, of 36 years and their family. His son ,Ben, works as a graphic designer. Ben has a son, Jeffrey Michael. Doc’s daughter, Christine, is a Special Ed Supervisor. She and her husband, John have a wonderful daughter Olivia Rose. Doc also has a passion for the restoration of his 18th Century farm house and is a civil war buff.

Education

• Graduated from the University of Maryland Dental School in 1972
• U.S. Navy Dental Corps for 2 years with post graduate training
• USDI training in Orthodontics for 5 years while in practice
• Post graduate training in Periodontal training at Penn. and University of Maryland dental schools.
• Occlusal and TMD Study at Georgetown University
• Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies
• Advanced courses in Cosmetic Dentistry
• Member of the Seattle Study Club an International organization promoting furthur education/ skills in the dental field; membership is by invitation only.

Jackie- received her associate degree in Dental Hygiene from Allegheny Community College in 1991. She has worked full-time as a hygienist with Dr. Blevins since 2003. She provides caring, comprehensive dental care to all her patients, taking into consideration overall health issues and their effect on our patients health.

Jackie loves spending time with her husband and three children, and visiting family in her hometown of Bedford, Pa. She also enjoys the excitement of making and owning her own jewelry business.

Jackie is also certified to give dental anesthesia after recently completing an intensive course of study and exam!

Kate- began her career with Dr. Blevins in 2002 as the Hygiene and Treatment Coordinator. She brought over 25 years of Customer Service and management experience with her. In 2004, Kate was promoted to Office Manager and continues to welcome and rise above the many challenges of managing a busy dental practice. She has a great respect for her “work family” and the closeness that they share.

Kate enjoys traveling with her husband Wendell, entertaining and socializing with family and friends. She takes advantage of every opportunity available to visit her daughter, son-in-law and two grandsons in Lubbock Texas. Go Texas Tech Red Raiders!!

Lindy-has sat side by side as Dr. Blevins assistant since 1999. Her genuine concern and care for our patients has helped to keep so many, calm and comfortable. Lindy loves spending time with her husband, two grown sons and beautiful granddaughter. She enjoys walks with her husband and relaxing in the winter by the woodstove with her two devilish cats. In the summer, you may see Lindy and her family at the bay on their boat.

Steph- has been a dental hygienist with our practice for over 25 years! Her love of dentistry is evident with her care and concern for our patients. She loves spending time with her husband of over 30 years, 2 grown sons and new daughter-in-law. As a “Parrothead”, she enjoys music, and traveling to warm destinations where she can keep her toes in the sand. Bike riding, kayaking and visiting our National Parks are more of her family favorites.

Sue-besides being Doc’s wife of almost 40 years!! She is the special glue that keeps our team happy and motivated to do the very best for our patients. She is a ray of positive sunshine! Who better to keep the books, and help out when called upon.

Sue also works as a Financial Secretary for her church and loves spending time at the beach with Doc, her two children, granddaughter and grandson.

Tammy- our scheduling coordinator with over 13 years of experience in dentistry, keeps us on track with our daily happenings and never lets us forget how our patients view the caring nature of our practice. She has always had a strong interest in dentistry and especially in helping people obtain a beautiful, healthy smile with today’s modern technologies. Tammy loves to spend time with her husband of 28 years, their grown son and daughter. Her hobbies include reading, cooking, traveling, antiquing, dancing with her husband and spoiling her German Shorthaired Pointer.
